MIDA Civils expands fleet with 33 Thwaites dumpers
MIDA Civil Engineering Ltd continues its impressive growth within the housebuilding sector and as a result of new project delivery and to enhance its operational efficiency, the company has expanded its plant fleet with a significant investment in 33 new Thwaites site dumpers.
Additions to the fleet comprise of 15 x 9-tonne cabbed machines, 15 x 6-tonne Front Tip cabbed and 3 x 3-tonne power swivel machines – which will be used across MIDA’s sites in the home counties, central and eastern England.
MIDA’s fleet expansion reflects both client demand and the company’s focus on safety and quality. With the upcoming cab manufacturing standard (EN474 2022 pt6) set to take effect in early spring 2025, MIDA has proactively invested in cabbed dumpers to meet these standards.
Daniel Clorley, Director MIDA Plant said,
“We have made significant recent investments in our fleet of excavators, and felt the time was now right to move towards having more MIDA owned and branded dumpers on our sites, giving greater control on safety and utilisation whilst enhancing our brand presence. MIDA’s primary objective is the safety of our workforce and our customers. This investment is a demonstration of that commitment.”
Paul Rodwell, Thwaites Distributor Manager said,
“It was my pleasure to work with Daniel and the team to conclude this significant sale. We share as businesses and individuals so many values, I look forward to further developing our relationship.”
Tom Haywood, Shellplant Sales Manager concluded,
“We’re thrilled that MIDA Civil Engineering chose Thwaites for this fleet expansion. Shellplant is dedicated to supporting MIDA with exceptional aftersales service and looks forward to backing this thriving company as it continues its upward trajectory.
